PARVAIS KHAN FATEHAMAND

Being an interpreter and a translator I have a passion for languages and creative writing. I have written poetry in Urdu, English and Punjabi, some of which have been published in bi-lingual magazines and newspapers and some has been broadcast by Sunrise Radio. Selected pieces of poetry have been read in the community and literary functions for the last four years consecutively.
I joined the Fellowship of Christian Writers in the UK and Newham Writers Workshop which has enhanced my writing skills since I have been attending it.

MUDPIES AND MOTIVES

Pure motives are unshakeable
people hardly pay attention towards;
making unshakeable to shakeable
they think that is the way forward.

who has shaken the values, on truth!
built on the utter foundation of it
they who don’ t count them a treasure
waste their lives and can not make it.

Truth can stand alone in any light
showing thin line between truth and a lie;
people with pure motives and mudpies
present all over with a shout and cry.

Who has heard them; you or me
perhaps both of us now and then,
categorising them into compartments
good, foolish, or bunch of strange men.

True lies can be lies but true,
mudpies that washes away.
a splash of water is enough for wipeout
but true motives, no one can wash away.

BREAK THE CYCLE

Have you hurt her?
go at once and make things right;
from your heart say, "I’m sorry."
how these words bring delight!
Concerning the bond of Love
she might be thinking,
the Love should stay
"I’ll excuse him" I’m thinking.
Break the cycle and continue
how she loves you, you never know.
you are on her mind, in her thought,
the first move do you know!
Heavier load is on your heart
throw it away with your move.
care ‘n’ love make you whole
one step forward, a little move.
She is great; that you know
a little barrier! you shouldn’t stumble.
you are great and you are bold
break the cycle and win the gold.

NEED

Someone expressed "this is my need
he shared and asked" where I should go?"
Then I remembered; Yes "it can help ‘n’ feed"
that book!" this little gift can show."
Then he said to me "thanks for the good book"
which can guide me day by day.
It will cherish through every word and promise
yes it will help me on my way.
For me your love and advice are fine
which will keep me going along the way.
I wish I could say "come and dine"
this was my need to be on the right way.
Don’t put it off until tomorrow
what you and I can achieve today;
working hard until you get it
will keep the disappointment away.
When troubles ‘n’ trials come into your life
that seem hard and too much to bear;
give a friend; a chance to serve you
to show his love and care

LOVE ‘N’ KINDNESS

Oh!, this world around us surges-duties vie,
taking all our time, energies our care.
but remember, greater duty urges; don’t pass by
a troubling heart whose burden we should share.

This heart; this soul will be uplifted,
no more will stay under the weather.
your act of kindness will be rewarded
no more pain; no more afflicted.

A smile; a good gesture altogether,
can bring someone on the surface.
a few words can bring a change,
kindness and reward stays together.

What a love and what a thought;
we can give and we can share
boldly to all who are needy,
in the clutches of agony no one caught.

We can make it; perfect and sound
even no one imagines what the power it holds.
love can change and can maintain,
What was wrong and what was bound.
